A lot of business network platforms have cropped up over the past few years. One of them is\u00a0Facebook\u2019s Workplace (formerly known as Facebook at Work).<\/p>\n

Workplace is separate from and not connected to your normal Facebook account and profile. It is a\u00a0separate corporate profile that you create for yourself. It is used to connect everyone in all sorts of\u00a0Workplaces. Whether you work from home or have a proper office space, you can use Workplace to\u00a0connect with your co-workers as well as other people in the same field as you.<\/p>\n

Here are the highlighted features of Workplace:<\/p>\n

No Ads<\/strong>– It is completely Ad Free<\/p>\n

Where it is used most<\/strong>– It is available all over the world but is most widely used in India, US,\u00a0UK, France and Norway<\/p>\n

Revenue Model-<\/strong> Since Workplace is not generating revenue through Ads, it has planned a\u00a0pricing strategy for the same. Companies get a 3 month free trial post which it costs $3 US\u00a0per user per month. This cost strategy stays for 1000 employees, declines to $2 for 10,000\u00a0employees and to $1 for more than 10,000 employees. Inactive users are accounted for and\u00a0company is not charged for them. It is free for non-profits and educational institutions.<\/p>\n

Similar to Facebook-<\/strong> The features of Workplace are very similar to those of Facebook\u2019s.\u00a0They include Group Chats, Video Calls, Live Video and News Feed. Someone who has used\u00a0Facebook will not have any troubles navigating and using this networking site as well.<\/p>\n

Whether it is watching a presentation taking place out of office through live video or catching up\u00a0with co-workers through your news feed, Workplace is the new corporate network ready to take\u00a0over with force. Already companies like booking.com, Starbucks, Danone, Royal Bank of\u00a0Scotland, Yes Bank and Oxfam are using it to build better bonds amongst their employees.<\/p>\n
