Since October is the Self-improvement Month, here\u2019s how you can make the most of it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Be open to learning<\/strong><br \/>\nThere\u2019s no end to acquiring knowledge. Learning broadens your horizon and helps in turning a new leaf. Learn something that catches your curious mind, something that you\u2019ve always wanted but couldn\u2019t eke out time for yet. Bake a cake if you never have, go for a photography course or explore hobbies as out-there as sword fighting!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Challenge your comfort zone<\/strong><br \/>\nBreak out of your comfort zone and discover a side of you that you never knew existed. Do exactly what you\u2019re apprehensive of achieving \u2013 dance if you are self-conscious, read if you have a constantly wandering mind, paint if you are sloppy with colors. Remember all your strengths and work on the rest. Identifying your weaknesses and pushing your limits to overcome them is the first step towards self-improvement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keep your mind sharp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An idle mind is a devil\u2019s workshop. When there is a workout regimen for your body, why shouldn\u2019t there be some for your mind too? Sudoku, Scrabble, and crossword your way to a sharp and agile mind. Forget excuses like lack of time and instead devote a few minutes while you\u2019re traveling to work or during your lunch break. They have a considerable influence over you since you share a part of your life with them, exchanging thoughts and opinions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Set milestones. Simplify.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dream a little dream. Make plans. Visualise where you want to see yourself in a few years, personally and professionally. Set your milestones accordingly, abide by them and be true to yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Self-improvement isn\u2019t like instant coffee. It takes time and persistence. But when you take the first step in the journey, you\u2019ve already made considerable progress in the right direction.
